Rich Moist Soothing Tencel Sheet Mask
Midnight Blue Calming Sheet Mask
Overview on Dear, Klairs
Dear, Klairs (or simply Klairs) is one of the most well-known Korean beauty brands around. I fell in love with the brand after trying its sunscreen which does not feel like a sunscreen at all. While going onto my third tube of the sunscreen, I am exploring other products in the range. Here is a brand overview from KBeautyAustralia:
"Klairs is a cruelty-free, vegan-friendly K-beauty brand that believes in a simplistic approach to skin care, including only the most essential ingredients in their products to promote healthier and stronger skin. Their products were designed for people with sensitive skin, however are suitable for people of all skin types. Klairs was recently officially recognised by the Norweigan Animal Protection Alliance (Dyrevenalliansen) as a brand that is free from animal testing."
They are the only two sheet masks currently made by Klairs, and they serve two different functions - one for moisturising and one for purifying.
Rich Moist Soothing Tencel Sheet Mask - for dry skin
Even though I held high expectations on Klairs, this sheet mask is so effective that it has exceeded my expectations. After a microdermabrasion treatment I experienced some skin sensitivity and dry patches under my nose (a normal reaction for me) and this Klairs sheet mask fixed all the problems in one go. Infused with skin hydrators, phospholipids, cholesterol and FIVE types of ceramides, no wonder it works so well.
Because the tencel gauze is so thin, and the mask comes in two pieces (top and bottom), it is a bit fiddly to use. The cut-out for the eyes is a little too big for my small eyes. However, I like that the mask itself is big enough, comfortable to use and contours well.
This mask gave me an instant, visible result. There will definitely be a repurchase for sure.
Midnight Blue Calming Sheet Mask - for oily or acne-prone skin
Comfortable and thin charcoal-infused sheet saturated in skin hydrators, bark willow extract, tea tree oil and Centella Asiatica (a herb with traditional medicine uses as a skin soother). It lives up to its name as a calming mask and is very cooling as well. I also enjoyed the prominent tea tree scent.
As to the purpose and effectiveness of charcoal sheet, I have previously written on this topic here.
Klairs' Midnight Blue Calming Cream from this range is famous for oily, acne-prone or sensitive skin. I have not tried the cream, however looking at both ingredient lists this sheet mask seems like is a completely different product. I don't feel that this mask does a great deal to replenish and would say that it is more suitable for combination to oily skin types.
Before using this mask, I had a couple of bumps underneath the skin's surface. They never developed into pimples and went away. I don't know if it was a coincidence or was it really this effective. In any case I will certainly be popping this mask on next time if I see any signs of congestion.

This review was written based on my opinion after using one mask each. I purchased the masks from K Beauty Australia myself. My opinion is honest.
